Trying Human - Rose

I want to believe!...That there's a really good webcomic about aliens, their attempts to blend in, and shadowy government agencies.  I have very specific tastes, okay?

Luckily there is just such webcomic, specifically Trying Human.  Our story more or less begins with a girl in New York waking up with uncontrollable nose bleeds and fragments of strange memories.  Eventually she begins to remember that she was abducted by "Greys" (think your typical spindly armed, bald headed Roswell aliens) and catches the interest of Hue, one of the few of his race who feels empathy.  Eventually Hue and his Reptillian friend (yet another alien race) decide to make use a set of portable holographic disguises, the titular trying human circuit, to "help" Rose with her life.  The results of said help are...mixed.

This however only broadly describes the main plot of Trying Human.  In effect there are at least four stories being told simultaneously with one taking place all the way back in 1947.  To say Trying Human can get rather complicated would be a gross understatement.  If you're a fan of X-files esque conspiracy mysteries and aliens in general, then I highly recomend you give this series a try. (first page)

Rose
The main protagonist of Trying Human.  A secretary by trade she initially wished that these crazy aliens would leave her alone but eventually comes to take it in stride.  As abductions virtually all happen at night when humans are asleep, Rose's tenure aboard the Grey mothership is often in her night gown.

Talk to the hand!

Hue finds this human foot to be most fascinating.

"Sure thing voice of of off kilter lady in my head."

Time to leave!

Awww!  They trust each other!...
...but still prone to accidents.  Whoops!

Eh, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Hue is stronger than he appears.

    1. Indeed it is good art! The artist decided to redraw the first eight chapters for print so they're getting really polished.
