(mini-review) Eerie Cuties - Brooke

Brooke

Brooke is melusine (basically a snake person) friend/classmate of Nina's.  One of her favorite past times is to tease Nina's older sister Layla, much to Layla's chagrin.  During a sleepover we get to see her barefoot for the first and so far only time.

Magick Chicks - Tiffany

Tiffany

Tiffany?  Who's Tiffany?  Clearly that is Artemis Academy's MASKED AVENGER!  Or at least that's what Tiffany wants us to think/thinks we think.  She is also the resident wanabe monster hunter of Magick Chicks, which makes it ironic that she's training a witch and is best friends with a vampire.  To say she's not the most effective monster hunter in the world would be an understatement.

Magick Chicks - Melissa

Another direct spin off of Eerie Cuties, Magick Chicks tells the story of three witches transferred to a all girls monster hunting academy as punishment for causing trouble at their old school.  The three must keep their identities as supernaturals a secret while going about their daily highschool lives, lest they be slain by a hoard of fanatic huntresses.  (first comic)

Melissa Hellrune

Melissa is the leader of the Hellrune coven and the main protagonist of the story.  At first glance she's your typical queen bee wannabe, although she genuinely cares for her friends.  Arrogant and proud to a fault, much of the story deals with her getting thoroughly knocked down by life and slowly building herself back up along with the help of a somewhat air headed huntress in training and a magical girl heritage she'd rather forget.

Oh yeah, we also find out that she's a magical girl witch.  Or is that witch magical girl?  Well, you get the idea.  It's one of those series.

Melissa and her mighty coven in the face of the washroom ghost.

Fear the fairy!  Fear her!

Dream sequence or a loose interpretation of a "causal dress code?"  You decide!

Eerie Cuties - Layla

Layla Delacroix

Layla is Nina's older sister and also a student at Charybdis Heights High.  A more traditional blood sucking vampire, Layla finds her little sister's desire to feed exclusively off chocolate to be irritating.  She often tries to teach Nina to be a "proper" vampire but so far her efforts have met with little no success.  You know, the usual older sister thing.

The snake girl says "No"

Eerie Cuties - Nina

Imagine if you will a high school for monsters.  A place where vampires, werewolves, succubi, melusine, witches, and more can be themselves while growing up.  Put another way, imagine a highschool were every member of the student body has super natural powers.  All the power of classic horror creatures packed into the body of a teenager with raging hormones and growing pains.  And yet the building hasn't collapsed in on itself.  Yet.

Thus is the premise of Eerie Cuties, a series of supernatural dramedies detailing the daily lives of a group of friends as they attend Charybdis Heights High School. (first comic)

Nina Delacroix

Nina is the youngest daughter of the Delacroixs, the local vampire family.  Born on Easter Sunday, she's the only known vampire who feeds on chocolate rather than blood.  A bit childish at times, her naive innocence can come across as either one of her most endearing or one of her most grating qualities depending on who you ask.

Never tell a demon you "have nothing to loose."  They might give your years to a classmate.

Bonus Update: Swimsuit Contest

Hello and welcome to the Webcomic Foot Finder swimsuit contest!  Summer is well underway and what better way to celebrate the than to showcase some lovely webcomic gals in their best beach wear?  Each contestant will get a single image and a brief introduction including name and which webcomic they're from!

So look, decide, and vote for witch is your favorite contestant!  Reeeeady!  Go!

Kimi

 (Caribbean Blue)

Yep, first up it's the adorable nekocat from the most recent update, Kimi! Sweet and caring although she doesn't quite understand the human obsession with being clothed.

Tina

(Caribbean Blue)

One of the original protags from Caribbean Blue, Tina is a tiger catgirl with lots of energy and a can do attitude matched by none.  More than willing to take any challenge head on and possibly a punch to the gut!

Yuki

(Caribbean Blue)

One of the catgirls on vacation in Caribbean Blue, Yuki is the more level headed member of the group.  Always the source of reasonable compromise, this caracal catgirl will keep it together no matter what.

Maya

(Caribbean Blue)

Next up it's Maya!  The original catgirl of the island of Caribbean Blue, she won't tolerate being second to anyone!  Especially if that anyone is another catgirl.

 Alice

(Caribbean Blue)

Also from Caribbean Blue, but not a catgirl (shocking I know) it's Alice the policwoman!  A gun enthusiast with a fondness for classic german weaponry, this gal will shoot straight to your heart!  And maybe your lung.  Depends on whether you're moving or not.

Okay, that's enough Caribbean Blue.  Now it's time to move on to:

Didi

(Ménage à 3)

It's the return of a fan favorite, Didi from Ménage à 3!  Even in the middle of Toronto you're not safe from sudden swimsuit and the resulting distraction!  Just watch out for that light poll.

Nina

(Eerie Cuties)

Nina the vampire!  Looking a bit older than she normally does due to some shenanigans involving a deal with a loli demon, but looking rather lovely for it.  We have it on good authority that the way to her heart is through chocolate and lots of it.

Chloe

(Eerie Cuties)

A socially awkward and incredibly clumsy up and coming Succubus, Chloe is one of Nina's best friends.  Often means well but has a tendency to accidentally misuse her powers.  Seen here with Blaire the possesed doll, who seems to have made off with a bit of her wardrobe.

Ace
(Eerie Cuties)

Next up is Ace, the series resident werewolf boy, who for a time was victim of a orb of gender bending. While stuck being "Aceina," at least for awhile, that doesn't stop him from investing his feminine side by trying on some female clothing.  And boy does Aceina wear it well.

Kade

(Eerie Cuties)

Another "victim" of the orb of gender bending, Kade Eerie Cuties' resident werecat!  Always a bit coquettish even as a guy, Kade had no problems flaunting what he had once he became a her.

An'jhali

(Drowtales: Path to Power)

Leader of a displaced clan of dark elves, An'jhali is faced with the daily task of keeping her people together in the face of a hostile underworld.  That doesn't stop her clan from volunteering her for a swimsuit contest of their own though.  Ah, such are the burdens of leadership.

Ash

(Misfile)

The street racing, car savy, guy turned girl main protagonist of Misfile appears!  Life can be difficult when you're the victim of a celestial misfile, especially when part of that entails trying different gendered swimwear for the first time.  Fight on Ash!

Emily

(Misfile)

Ash's friend and fellow recipient of a celestial misfile, Emily is trying to refind her way in life after literally redoing two years of her life.  However even those undergoing an existential journey can take time to enjoy a nice pool party.

Cassiel

(Misfile)

Cassiel in human and angel form respectively

Would you have ever guessed that the Devil had a niece?  And small wonder that she's hawt!  A vengeful and rather petty angel, this lass demands your adoration.  Fail to do so and she will track you down even if it takes an eternity.

And that's all for now!  Who was your favorite?  Cast your vote and let's see who the favorite summer time webcomic gal of 2014!
