Everblue - Dagger

It occurs to me that I left out one other lovely lady from the webcomic Everblue, and leaving that as is would be a crying shame.  So let us introduce:

Dagger
Dagger is a blade for hire who wanders the sea lanes along the equator of her world.  When a fight approaches she is all business but otherwise she is a cheerful devil-may-care individual.  As a blade for hire, there are mainly two things that matter for her: getting paid and getting a good challenge.  It is her ambition to one day kill the world's most feared outlaw.

Namesake - Emma

In the world of Namesake, all fairy tales are real.  At least in their own dimension.  On ocassion people from our world are pulled into the worlds of fair tales to fulfill the role of their character, their "namesake."  Dorthy will go to Oz, Alice will go to Wonderland, ect ect.  And if these Namesakes survive their journey, they return to our world with tremendous power, where they are then caught up in a conflict waged between those who wish to maintain the status quo and those who wish to destroy it.

It has been this way for as long as anyone still alive can remember.  But then when a girl who appears to have no namesake is drawn into a fairy tale world, it throws everything into confusion.  And now dominoes that have been building for over a hundred years begin to fall and thus our story begins.  Magic, adventure, and mystery await.

First comic.

Emma Crewe

Confused but not hapless is Emma Crewe, main character of our series.  A "normal" twenty six year old woman, Emma finds herself witness to a out of control fire at the library caused by the two warring factions when she's sucked into a mysterious portal to Oz.  She inadvertently turns the wicked witch into a purse before donning the witches shoes (who turn out to be the previous wicked witch) and sets off with both of them to discover how to get home and why Oz is all of a sudden covered in more sleeping poppies than it has any right to.  And then things get weird.

"Well at the moment you're currently killer on both my heels and my ears."

Hearing is an impressive feat for a pair of feet wear.
The answer, ironically, is "Not in Oz anymore."

Far to the North - Kelu

Imagine if you will a land of ice and snow where a dragon and mask wearing monstrous humanoid creatures, goblins, dominate the wilderness.  The people of this land live in fear of these demonic creatures, but an even worse fate would await them if they were to venture south where a powerful empire would enslave them if given half a chance.  Oddly those that come from the south are hunted by the goblins, whose keen eyes and powerful bows that allow them to fire from further than the human eye can see make them terrifying hunters.

Thus there is a tentative peace, until a party of southern raiders disguise themselves and take an entire household of northern native women hostage.  Their goal: the highly valuable dragon scales that are common in the north-lands but inaccessible to most southerners.  Thus with her family held hostage, the eldest daughter of the house must venture out into the night to find more dragon scales.  In the process she and others will find out the secrets of the goblins, the southern empire, and spirit of protection that presides over all these woods.  And this is only the beginning.

(first comic)

Kelu

Our heroine, Kelu, is a young woman who is ready to the see the rest of the world but got more than she bargained for.  Although she is only eighteen, she is already the aunt of at least five nieces and nephews, whom she often looks after and does her best to keep out of danger.  At one point she punched a dragon in the face because it was threatening one of her nieces.  She responsible, determined, clever, and highly protective about those she cares about.

Also while not always apparent she is also incredibly tall, as the average height for a north-land woman is about six and a half feet (or about 200cm).  And while of course the cold weather of a snowy winter doesn't exactly lend itself to a lot of moments outside of warm boots, there are a few delightful scenes where Kelu does go shoeless.

Pensive Kelu

Both good things, I think we can all agree.

"Must.  Not.  Poke.  The floof."

A good question.  You should read the comic to find out.

It's been awhile~♪

~Since I could hold my head up high.
And it's been awhile since I first saw you~ ♪

Ahem. Man, it's been...three years? A lot's happened since then.

Honestly I had given up this project for boxed forever. Life was getting really unpleasant and it was difficult to maintain enthusiasm for...anything really. Then after awhile it just seemed like too much time had passed and this blog would remain a dusty boxed...thing.  But then I thought, "Wouldn't it be fun to update the WFF blog again?" Which was a thought I hadn't had in a long time. So we'll see where this goes.

Updates probably won't be as frequent or as regular as before and I have no idea who, if anyone, would still be following this thing after three years of silence. But yet again, we'll see where this goes.

So without further ado, welcome back to the Webcomic Feet Finder blog.
