Swimsuit contest a go!

So since enough people are interested, i.e. more than one, there shall be a swimsuit contest!  As stated before, it shall be held this following July 4th in tandem with the regular update.  Voting will be held over a period of, mmm, let's say indefinitely.  Or at least until the next poll.  I was going to hold the voting for one week but then decided "Eh, let's make this fun for the whole month."   In short, this is going to be a bit bigger than originally intended.

Brace yourself.  Summer is coming.

Rusty and Co. - Ezra

Okay so stop me if you've head this: a rust monster, a mimic, and a gelantinous cube walk into a dungeon...sounds like the setup to a bad Dungeons & Dragons joke, doesn't it?  Actually it's the premise to a D&D spoof comic about three monsters forming their own adventuring party.  Because why not?

Of course being a monster adventuring party they find themselves up against equally bizarre challenges along the way, including drunk bottle fairies, plaid bearded land pirates, and mobster illithids.  Light fun and by no means for those who want a super serious story.  (first page)

"Ezra"
One pair of antagonists our heroes must face in their journey is two vampire siblings whose "real names are in a really obscure tongue you've probably never heard of."  Yep.  Hipster vampires.  And you thought the undead were horrifying before.

The female sibling (nicknamed "Ezra" by Mimic) is constantly searching for interesting and non-mainstream experiences to alleviate the boredom of her existence.  Blood thirsty and incredibly cocky, Ezra is more than eager to charge into a fray to hit you through a wall, all the while wearing thrift store flipflops or just going barefoot.

There's a poll?

Greetings internet!  So I've toying around with idea of integrating polls into this blog and the first idea I've had is to do a sort of swimsuit contest on the Friday of July 4.   How'd this work is that along with the regular update there'd also be a bonus update with five or more webcomic gals in their best swim attire.  Contestants would include a few gals already presented on this site along with a few new faces yet to come.

So what say you?  Up for a little summer fun?  Cast your vote in the poll.

Inverloch - Lei'ella

Update is a bit early today because tomorrow is going to be a super busy day for me.  So without further ado:

---

One day an elven girl and a white haired, golden eyed elven boy are playing when the boy is kidnapped by a mysterious figure and spirited away.  Twelve years later a young beast man named Acheron comes across a beautiful elf woman, the girl now grown, and becomes fond of her.  Out of love he promises to find her lost childhood friend, Kayn'dar, and bring him safely home.  The journey is long but Acheron finds help in unexpected allies.  Together they will discover the secret to the white haired, golden eyed elves and why Kayn'dar is so important to the survival of an entire race.  (first comic)

Lei'ella
Lei'ella is an elven theif catcher who joins Acheron on his journey to find Kayn'dar.  A white haired and golden eyed elf, Lei'ella was born "severed" from magic and banished along all those who share her affliction.   For many years now she has had to make her own way in the world, although her status as an outcast has given sympathy for those too weak to defend themselves.  Her reason for searching for Kayn'dar is that he is the only white haired, golden eyed elf ever born not severed from magic and it is her hope that finding him might provide salvation for those like her.

She wields dual knives and tends to wear a short skirted tunic, a hooded cloak, and heeled boots.  Unfortunately for most of the story she doesn't take off said boots, but there a few moments when her feet are visible, especially towards the end.

Seed - Dominique

Sixty years ago the king of the desert city of Celastin grew jealous of those who practiced magic and outlawed all practice of the mystic arts within his kingdom.  Those found practicing magic are all given one sentence: death.  Now Celastin stands ready to conquer its neighbors with the express purpose of eradicating all magic in the world.

During the time of these mage hunts, a young blue-skinned girl from across the sea searches for a goddess who disappeared many years ago.  She finds herself hunted by the soldiers of Celastin but aided by friends in unexpected places.  However she will need all the help she can get for it is not just her god that has disappeared....  (first page)

Dominique

The ever cheerful protagonist of the series, Dominique heralds from the tribe of the green skinned Atrier, who make their home west across the sea from Celastin.  Her origin is a bit of a mystery to her people as she was simply found in the temple of the Atrier goddess on her holy day.  She doesn't remember who her parents are, where she comes from, nor why her skin is blue rather than green like other Atrier.  It is her hope that her journey to find the goddess will yield some answers.

Jackie Rose (first run) - Jackie

Jackie Rose is an adventure webcomic in the vein of Indiana Jones.  The story involves the titular character coming across a key connected to an artifact of ultimate power during one of her treasure hunts and promptly being set upon by Nazi assassins.  Said artifact is connected to her father and she quickly finds herself involved with secret societies and a race to stop the Third Reich from getting to artifact and using it take over the world.

The first Jackie Rose story, Jackie Rose and the Sixth Seal was posted online in 2009 and concluded in 2011.  The series began again with a fresh slate on June 19, 2013 and is still ongoing.  This post will cover caps and links from the first story, Jackie Rose and the Sixth Seal.  (first chapter)

Jackie Rose
The adventurous main protagonist of the series.  Jackie is a professional "treasure seeker," although treasure is surprisingly hard to come by so she works as a waitress part time.  Tough and capable of keeping her nerve in the toughest of situations, this is one gal you don't want to mess with when the chips are down.

Can't tell if this guy is a lucky or unlucky SOB.
Definitely a lucky SOB.
